Welcome to the After School Link Up!
I'm in the process of planning how we will celebrate the Chinese New Year this year. We celebrate it to learn more about Chinese culture and geography.
See how we've celebrated in the past...
- Enjoyed a Chinese tea ceremony while reading our library books about the Chinese New Year.
- Visited an oriental market for ingredients to make homemade spring rolls and made dragon puppets.
- Read Long Long's New Year by Catherine Gower and decorated paper fish.
This Week's Features
Tina at Mamas Like Me came up with a really fun way to practice sight words, "Sight Word Pop". If your kids are like mine, they will love reading their words on these packing bubbles and then getting to pop them!
