Welcome to the AfterSchool party!

What Do We Do All Day? is the host of this week's party joined by these other great blogs.

We enjoyed one last day of spring break this past week.  The kids and I were up and out early to find plants for our 2012 sensory garden.  This is such a fun way to garden with kids.

After we planted we went to pick strawberries.  I think this is the earliest I can remember berries being ready in our area.  We made strawberry meringues with our little treasures.  I can't wait to go out to the fields again soon!

We've started reading from our various poetry books (you can see our shelfari list on the sidebar) at breakfast or dinner.  The kids are really enjoying this time.  I'll share more about our poetry time later this week.  Soccer season is in full swing and going well.  Only Little J is playing this season.  I'm waiting for fall to start Sassyfras and Juiciness, but they love going to practices/games and watching their big brother.

So, what have you been doing after school this week?

Soccer sounds tempting, but we are so overscheduled already. Do you have wild strawberries in your area?

Yum, I love Strawberry season! When I lived in CA, I ate a flat a week from March to October!
