AfterSchool Linky Party, Come Join!

Little Wonders' Days

Welcome to this week's AfterSchool blog hop, hosted this week by What Do We Do All Day?  I'm also joined by these fabulous blogs to share in the fun.
Sassyfras made me a it.

This past week was super busy.  I had meetings, Little J had a special field trip, Juiciness and Sassyfras had special events at school, and Daddy worked late a few days.  The days that we weren't running here and there, we were super lazy and just wanted to cozy up and play.  While I didn't make any formal lesson plans, we did manage to squeeze in some fun crafts, plenty of reading, and family time.

One activity that I didn't organize came from Juiciness.  We have alphabet cards that are textured.  They love to look at them and say the sounds of the letters.  They know all the sounds now and are working to pick out beginning letter sounds.  Juiciness grabbed a set of letters and the book Max's ABC's by Rosemary Wells and started matching letters.  Sassyfras thought that was a great idea and grabbed another set and book and off they went for awhile.

I set out the cards and all our alphabet themed books on their table in their room to explore for the week.

Little Wonders' Days

Thank you to everyone that linked up to AfterSchool, hosted last week by The Educator's Spin On It.  Here are a few links that I wanted to share.  Thanks for linking up and please feel free to grab an AfterSchool Featured button.  I can't wait to read this weeks ideas!
I heart Crafty Things shared this adorable and easy peacock craft.  I can't wait to do it when we start studying birds.

A Little Learning for Two shared this clever idea to demonstrate how some animals live underground.  I love that it looks fun to play with, but also such a great visual.

Families are Fun shared this mummy party, and well, it just looks like great fun!

We love textured ABC cards (yours are so nice and professional looking compared to my homemade ones) and want to do all the crafts you featured too!!! So much to do, so little time =)

I love the matching of alphabet cards to alphabet book. It gives the activity a bit of a sensory dimension along with learning letters. I want to bring that one up with my kids!

Great letter games, like the textured letters - maybe i could do that with some glitter.
