After School Link Up Party

Welcome to the After School Link Up!

Most of our After School activities this week have been our regularly scheduled extra curricular activities and some birthday fun! Sassyfras and Juiciness turned 5 this past week. Sassyfras is obsessed with Hello Kitty and Juiciness, I'm almost embarrassed to say, likes Sponge Bob...mostly known through friends or quick glimpses at the show when mom's not watching.

We did their parties on the same day, but different rooms.  Sassyras had homemade strawberry cupcakes with hot pink frosting, strawberries, Hello Kitty fruity snacks, and pink lemonade or blackberry Izze sodas.  Juiciness had yellow cake cupcakes with yellow frosting, pineapple slices, Sponge Bob fruity snacks, and lemonade and peach Izze sodas.

It was so fun to read all the great posts from last week.  Thank you to everyone who linked up their after school posts. If you were featured, please feel free to grab a featured button.

I loved the idea of a "Follow Your Dreams Day" by Natalie at Mouse Grows Mouse Learns.  She let her 6 year old daughter plan their day together.  It sounded like so much fun, but I really like Natalie's reflections of what she thought the day was going to be like to what it really was...the stuff memories are made of.

My oldest is a big shark lover, so I really enjoyed the shark bingo game (printable) from Relentlessly Fun, Deceptively Educational.

Carrie at Crafty Mom's Share has taken a neat approach to multicultural education and is using fairytale to explore other cultures with her daughter.  They recently studied the Vietnamese version of  Cinderella.
