I'd love your help to spread the word, grab a party button and put it on your sidebar.

I don't know if it was the balmy weather of South Florida or getting to spend so much time doing things with the kids last week that left me longing for our summer break.  I know the official start of summer is more than two months away.  We start celebrating when the kids get out of school and that is only about six weeks away...can you tell I'm counting down the days?!

I don't think it's a secret that I love the summers with my kids.  I have such wonderful memories of my childhood summers and I hope that my children will have the same experiences.  Most of my summers were spent with my grandparents along the Hudson River in New York.  Days were filled with playing in the garden, walks along the river, fishing, picking wild blackberries, baking with my grandmother, and swimming.  I also loved the day trips to antique shops, putt putt golf, ice cream shops, and the occasional trip to Cape Cod.  My grandparents left this earth many, many years ago, but so much of who I am is what they gave me all those summers.

A couple of summers ago we started making a "Summer Bucket List" of things we wanted to do before summer ended.  Don't worry about us being too busy, we always leave plenty of time for swimming, playing, and doing absolutely nothing.  We're already looking forward to another beautiful summer.

Last year I hosted a summer bucket list party and over 40 great blogs linked in with their wonderful ideas for summer!  I want to host another party this year so we can share our ideas.  Last year was just a link party, but I've set it up for thumbnails this year.

I know it's early and spring just started, but if you're a planner like me, you're already dreaming of summer!  So, get your lists ready and get ready to find some other inspiring ideas.  Until then, I'll be checking off the days until our summer can start and looking for some fun ways to play this summer.

On Tuesday, May 1st the
"Summer Bucket List Party"
will be open for the summer!

I think your summer plans sound wonderful.Interestingly, daughter is begging to go to Y day camp in the summer :) At least I am hoping for earlier pick up times, so we can go swimming and play outside more.

I am writing my summer bucket list now, but I am having trouble with your button. It doesn't come up as a picture, but just the code script.

Phyllis said...

FYI...The code on the one on your side bar is fine, it is just the one in the body of your post.

Summer for us starts when the strawberries are ready in my grandfather's garden. So that will be in about 6 weeks, as well! Looking forward to joining up in May!

How fun!! I think this would be fun for people without myself. I always have ideas of things I WANT to do during the summer. Fun party! I actually had a book exchange party with friends. I'd love to do it again, but make it more of a party.
