Homemade Pillowcases, A Simple Last Minute Gift for Christmas Eve

Christmas traditions, christmas pillowcase

I made Sassyfras this cute flannel pillowcase this past weekend.  I'm going to finish one for Juiciness and Little J later today.  I'm planning to give them to the kids on Christmas Eve.

If you sew and need a last minute gift, these are quick and easy.  I used this pattern here

I'm using the same fabric for the boys, just different colored rickrack.  The orange is for Juiciness and the black is for Little J.

I wish I had thought of doing these earlier.  I'm sure you can make some gorgeous pillowcases for adults too.

Love this! I have a beautiful flannel pillowcase that someone made for me, but I never really thought of doing it myself.

I wish I could sew. It's something I plan on learning to do over the next year. I love these pillowcases! That is a great gift!

Private blogs won't show up in a feed. If you want, I can put you on email notification so that you get emails when I post, or you can just log in to check.

I have fallen behind in blog reading! R and K have both been sick and we have 50+ people coming for Christmas, so it's crazy here!

Love the fabric you've chosen. I've just made one pillowcase and used it as wrapping for a present. About to make two more. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Gina,

Try this pattern instead, http://twiddletails.blogspot.com/2010/05/pillowcases-pillowcases.html

I've used it for the last couple of years and it's even quicker and easier than the one in this post.
