We've been reading Thanksgiving Day by Anne Rockwell. It is a great book to teach preschoolers about Thanksgiving and I love the illustrations in the book.
I'm not sure where this idea started, but Little J made a bracelet in preschool to help him learn and retell the Thanksgiving story. I wanted to do it with Sassyfras and Juiciness this year so I googled it. I found the details at My Montessori Journey, you can even download the story!

3 blue beads
1 green bead
1 light green bead
1 yellow bead
1 orange bead
1 red bead
It's been cute to hear them try to remember the story as they touch each bead on their bracelets!

We have read this book before - it's a good one! My kids made the bracelets in preschool too; it's a nice project!
I Love Anne Rockwell Books we will have to check this one out of the library. I have seen the Christmas Story Bracelets. The girls would love making Thanksgiving ones...thank you for sharing and linking up to stART!

I hand't heard of Thanksgiving bracelets before - what a nice way to remember the story. We read this Thanksgiving book every year - I love holiday stories by Anne Rockwell.
I've seen these before and thought it looks like a good idea to make.

We live in Turkey and so all our Holidays are passed over so I work really hard to encourage tradition and understanding of our American Holidays. This is a great idea, especially like the book. :) also thanks for dropping by my blog and commenting on the circle tree. :) Did you find all 3 birds? ;)
