AfterSchool Linky Party! Gateway Arch

Little Wonders' Days
<div align="center"><a href="" title="Little Wonders' Days"><img src="" alt="Little Wonders' Days" style="border:none;" /></a></div>

We did some traveling over Thanksgiving.  Along the way we passed by St. Louis and made a stop at the Gateway Arch and the Museum of  Westward Expansion.  Little J completed the Junior. Ranger booklet and received a junior ranger pin.

We rode the elevator/tram to the top of the arch.  It was a little claustrophobic, but worth the view of St. Louis.  The domed building in the picture above is the Old Courthouse where the Dread Scott trials took place.  We didn't have time to tour it, but read about it in some of our books.

Our book list
S is for Show me: A Missouri Alphabet by Judy Young
Lewis and Clark, Explorers of the American West by Steven Kroll
The Lewis and Clark Expedition: Join the Corps of Discovery to explore uncharted territory by Carol A. Johmann

Great pictures! I live in St. Louis and haven't been to the Arch since I was a kid. I'm kind of scared of that tram ride. LOL!

I wonder how I'd do going up in the tram since I'm scared of heights.......

Great photos! We have lots of wonderful family memories from traveling through St. Louis on the way to skating competitions (and of U.S. Nationals in St. Louis one year as well)!
