Our summer bucket list pull today was one we picked from Marelisa's list on her blog, Abundance Blog at Marelisa Online,- Make Hawaiian Punch. We even followed her link to the recipe here.
Lemonade stands are fine, but Hawaiian punch stands are super delicious! How about a nice Hawaiian punch?
The kids have a little grocery stand from PBK that I pulled outside and dressed up Hawaiian style. I raided my party box and found some left over supplies to use. The umbrella straws and leis are from Little J's purple surfboard 4th birthday party. Little J and I quickly made a couple of tissue paper flowers to add.
I halved the recipe to make just one pitcher. I printed the recipe out and they each took a turn pouring a juice.
Believe it or not, my kids have never had Hawaiian punch and had no idea what it was. They pretty much drink water, milk, and an occasional 100% juice. They thought this was a very special drink. I will have to say, this was a delicious recipe and we had many refills.
Ingredients
2 cups of orange juice
2 cups of pineapple juice
2 cups of guava juice
1/4 cup of grenadine
2 1/4 cups of ginger ale
I found the guava juice in the Mexican food area in my grocery store and not in the juice isle.
We didn't sell our punch in the traditional sense of setting up a stand, but they took turns pouring for each other and being the customers. They had so much fun doing this.
Aloha!

This does sound like fun and that recipe sounds good. I assumed you meant the Hawaiian Punch that you buy in the store - this sounds much better!
My kids usually drink water, they are not big milk drinkers, and they have the occasional 100% juice, so they would think this is pretty special too!
That sounds delicious! Much better than that ready-made stuff you can buy (we try to avoid red food coloring, so my boys have never had that).
Perfect for this hot weather, too!
Sounds like so much SWEET fun. The grenadine also put me over the edge like Kelly. I'm sure they thought it was *delicious* though!
What a great way to try a new drink and play at the same time. I am not a big fan of store-bought Hawaiian punch, but this recipe sounds delicious.
Lisa- I really think you could omit the grenadine from this recipe and it still would taste great. I tend to follow recipes the first time I make something and adjust thereafter.

What a great idea for a new twist on the typical lemonade stand. Thanks so much for linking up. Can't wait to see what you have for this week.
What a cute idea. More the Merrier Monday will be open until Wednesday at midnight. I would love for you to stop by and link up your punch stand. http://diyhshp.blogspot.com/
