Pretend Play with Hats

We read the book The Hat by Jan Brett today and then played with some hats ourselves.

I asked them questions like these:
Who wears this type of hat?
We would wear this hat when...what hat is it?
If I was Santa, what had would I wear?
Is this hat for hot or cold weather?
Is this a real hat or a pretend hat?

They had so much fun trying on different hats, checking themselves out in the mirror, and pretending with them.

We love Jan Brett and we love hats, but I don't think we have such a variety of them :)
