Letters To Santa

I set out a basket of supplies that included, writing papers, stamps, stickers, scrapbook letters and papers, glue, colored pencil, and scissors.

We're writing our letters to Santa today.  We're sending them to the North Pole and can't wait to hear back from dear Santa.

If you're interested in how this works see this link to the USPS.  In a nutshell though, your child writes his or her letter to Santa.  Then you secretly write a Santa letter back to them and enclose it in a stamped envelope addressed to them.

Then, take that envelope and put it in another envelope addressed to:

NORTH POLE HOLIDAY CANCELLATIONLetters must be mailed by December 15th to make it back to your child.

What's letter writing without a few kisses?

We did this last year and Little J was beyond excited.

In case you're wondering, he's asked for a great white shark tooth and a megalodon tooth.  Santa's thankful for eBay!

Another link I'd like to share is the Macy's Believe campaign.  For each letter written to Santa and dropped off at a special mailbox at a Macy's store they will donate $1 (up to 1 million dollars) to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a national nonprofit organization that grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.

We'll be dropping some letters off at the mall later this season to help support this cause and I hope you will join us!
