Five Little Pumpkins Craft

Five Little Pumpkins go along craft

My little ones have really started to enjoy singing and finger plays.  So for today we did some fall/Halloween finger plays.  This is a little craft to go along with the poem, Five Little Pumpkins.

Five Little Pumpkins craft

Using black paper, Sassyfras and Juiciness glued craft sticks to their paper to make a fence.  Then using pumpkin stickers, made the scene for the poem. They then glued copies of the poem to their papers.

Five Little Pumpkins
Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate
The first one said, "Oh my, it's getting late."
The second one said, "There are witches in the air."
The third one said, "But I don't care!"
The fourth one said, "Let's run and run and run."
The fifth one said, "I'm ready for some fun!"
Whoo-ooo went the wind,
Out went the light,
And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

Those craft sticks made a great gate! I like how you simplified the activity by using pumpkin stickers. I would be easy for any small child to make.

I love that poem, there are so many things to do with it.

I need to make a big version of it, and then actually get my pocket chart up. Maybe I'll do that later today.

Aww, Love the stickers! And the craft sticks (we have so many of those colored and plain ones, great use of them).
