Cheese Fondue and Lambic, Happy Friday Night

For our Friday night appetizer, I made a cheese fondue.  I used sour dough bread cubes, granny smith apples, and pear slices for dipping.  I found Trader Joe's carries a Belgium beer that I like, raspberry lambic.  It doesn't really taste like beer at all.  It's sweet and fruity and paired very well with this cheese fondue.

I followed this recipe for the cheese fondue, using Gruyere and gourmet Swiss cheese for the cheeses.  I can't say there is anything I would change with this recipe, it was delicious.

Mmmmmm.....Gruyere cheese is so good in fondue isn't it?! I love it. Hope there was lots of smooches on your date night {wink!}
