Autumn Nature Tray

autumn nature tray, fall nature tray

I love the idea of a Waldorf inspired nature table, but it just doesn't fit with how we live.  So instead, we do  a nature tray.  We love having it on our kitchen table.

Fall nature tray

We just finished our autumn traditions tree, so we made it the center of our tray.  The tray is lined with an orange play silk and there are little bowls of sweetgum tree seeds, acorns and hickory nuts,  a few leaves (the kids decided to collect green ones for some reason), a candle, and a ceramic pumpkin waiting to be filled with more fall treasures.

We have a nature table where our monkeys collect and display.
I need to get some mini pumpkins thought!

Great idea for a nature tray instead of a nature table! I too have liked the idea of a table but haven't figured out how to make it work in our household. Thank you for the inspiration!

I love your autumn tree idea. We have a nature shelf, but it does get cluttered up very quickly. I enjoyed reading down through all your autumnal posts - love those veggies, and I want to talk like a pirate too!

The tray is a wonderful idea. I may try that this fall - our nature table is out of the way of our daily life (in the dining room) and gets forgotten about sometimes. You can put the try front and center!

Your nature tray looks gorgeous. Perhaps we will make one too later this fall - I have to add it to my own "bucket list" :)

Just as I was marvelling at your beautiful nature tray your comment came through! I love coincidences. Your Autumn Tradition tree is fab. What a great way to generate ideas for activites and keep track of them. It's down on my list of ideas to try!

It's lovely Kelly. I like that it's on the kitchen table, just inviting you to pick something up and explore it.
