Water Balloon Fun

Little J wanted to start his first day of summer break by playing with water balloons.  So, when the twins went down for their nap, we made for the backyard.  We had fun seeing how high we could toss them and not break, playing catch to see how many times we could do it without breaking one, and just fun throwing them at each other and getting soaked.  After we finished picking up the broken pieces we sat on the deck and had popsicles.

I chose not to include Sassyfras and Juiciness because they are only 2 and still put things in their mouths.  Latex balloons can be very dangerous and near impossible to remove from an airway.  So, there's my two cents and a little damper on the fun...but better safe than sorry.

Water balloons are very popular at our place at the moment too. Sometimes we put them in the shower as well, which is popular.

That seemed really fun! Our 16 month old loves balloons, but of the blown up kind... :)

What a great idea. I'll be trying this one come summer on our side of the world!
