When the strawberries come into season here is one of my favorite times of the year. We've gone to pick a couple of times already. We usually get enough to eat for just a couple of days. Near the end of the season we pick a big bucket to freeze some for ice cream later in the summer. The kids each grab their own bucket and head into the field and do a great job at getting just the red ones. I think their favorite part is getting to come home and help wash them, water play!

yummy! wish we had a strawberry field close by, but we settle for a few plants in our garden!
