St. Patrick's Day 2010

I cut progressively smaller circles out of construction paper and then centered them on top of each other to cut them in half, making two rainbows.  Sassyfras and Juiciness then glued them together with a little instruction as to the order.  We're using the rainbows to go along with our sun, rain, and rainbow theme this week.

Juiciness and Sassyfras can pretty well count to twenty now, but they don't recognize and order the numbers consistently yet and they do not do one to one correspondence yet.  I cut paper shamrocks out and numbered them 1-5 and let them practice naming them and ordering them.  In the end, they caught on pretty well.  We'll see what they remember tomorrow!

This picture doesn't do the meal justice.  It was very yummy.  I ended up sauteing boiled potatoes in a little olive oil, salt to taste, and Italian seasoning to taste. The cabbage was boiled on the stove top and it was so sweet.  The corned beef cooked in the crockpot for the day.
Little J made vanilla malted milkshakes for us and topped them with green cherries.  If they could have licked the bottom of the cup they would have!
