Toddler Project, Valentine Placemats

Paper hearts, doilies, glue sticks, and large pieces of construction paper.

 Sassyfras choosing her next heart.

We glued their pictures and used stickers to spell out their name after they finished gluing the hearts.  Sassyfras seemed fascinated when I told her the word was her name.  She touched it and repeated it several times.  Juiciness just asked for snack, I guess that's boys for you!

Little J is planning to make his this afternoon and we'll have them laminated so we can use them for our Valentine's Day breakfast.

Great activity, Kelly! This would make a wonderful project to give to relatives, too. I featured your photo and post in my Montessori-inspired kindness projects post at http://livingmontessorinow.com/2012/01/23/montessori-monday-kindness-challenge-2-montessori-inspired-kindness/
