Muffin Tin Monday

Muffin Tin Monday at Her Cup Overfloweth

Today's Muffin Tin Monday theme is the color orange.  A cheerful color, don't you think.  Little J helped squeeze some orange juice before he left for school. This is a great activity for helping with hand strength.

Julienned carrots and dip, Mandarin oranges, lentils, goldfish crackers, cheese tortellini, and mango porcupines.  We read Mouse Paint while they ate.  Sassyfras says, "Mouse a mess".

This is one of the placemats they made for lunch.

We're continuing of with our forest theme from last week as we still have a few more activities that I would like to try with Sassyfras and Juiciness.  We'll review the sounds of letters "A-D", continue lots of counting and start some one to one correspondence activities.  Our shape is the circle.  Our color of the week is orange, of course.  I thought we would do some color mixing activities with red and yellow.

Orange color drawer.

Red and yellow blocks, orange ones are in the color drawer.  We'll put them all together in a couple of days.

They love to paint at the easel.
